Salient features of the IRDA results for September 2005 are:

IRDA results for Sept 05 give Bajaj Allianz number one slot with 28.6 % market share amongst pvt sector life insurance cos. for the month of Sept 2005.

Results as per IRDA figs amongst Pvt Sector Life Cos for Sept 2005 V/s Sept 2004:

·        For the month of Sept 2005 Bajaj Allianz Life Market share was 28.6% highest amongst pvt sector life Insurance. For the first time Bajaj Allianz grabbed the number one slot.

·        Market share in Sept 04 for Bajaj Allianz Life amongst pvt sector life cos was 13.8% registering significant jump in Sept 05. In the previous month i.e. Aug 05 Bajaj Allianz Life Market share stood at 25.5%registering significant jump in market share in Sept 05.

·        Bajaj Allianz First year Premium for Month of Sept 05 is Rs 214 cr & Rs 46 cr for Sept 04 registering a massive growth of 360%. Rs 168 cr was the additional growth in new business making it the highest addition of new business by any private sector life insurance co. in the month.

·        Bajaj Allianz Life registered the highest growth of 237 % amongst all life Insurance cos. First year premium for Apr-Sept 2005 was Rs 643 cr. and during the corresponding period for the previous FY this fig stood at Rs 190 cr.

·        Not only in percentage terms but in actual terms also Bajaj Allianz Life added Rs 453 cr of growth in business, highest by any pvt. sector Life insurance co. this FY.

·        • Bajaj Allianz Life market share saw a significant jump for the first half of FY 2005 with market share of 22% amongst pvt sector life insurance cos. Last year the share was 12% for the corresponding period.

Results as per IRDA figs for All Life Cos (incl. LIC) for Apr- Sept 05 V/s Apr- Sept 04:

·        Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Market share for Apr-Sept 05 jumped to 5.68% from 2.26% in Apr-sept 04. Highest growth in market share amongst all life insurance cos.

·        For the month of Sept 05 the market share stood at 9.3 % amongst all life Insurance cos.

·         Bajaj Allianz grew at 237 % for Apr-Sept 05, highest amongst all life Insurance cos.
